Rae Duncan returned from her trip to South Africa where she and specialist doctors like herself screened 2,000 children for signs of early Rheumatic heart disease as part of a project called “Echo in Africa”. The team not only took expertise but also mobile ultrasound screening equipment and vital training.

Photograh of a group of African childrenShe returns with a new appeal for clothes and shoes for the poverty stricken children of a township there called Freedom Farm which has left an indelible print on her heart. Donations will be taken direct to those needing them by doctors and volunteers returning to South Africa.

A collection will be made on Sunday 28th September 2014 at Trinity Church after the Sunday morning service which starts at 10:30am.
