Trinity Church Gosforth has been supporting a community of Christians in South Africa since April 2016. Revd. Lindiari and Alison Zikalala lead a church there that is working hard to extend God’s love to the poor and diseased in the area of IZINGOLWENI. The project supports children who have been affected or infected by HIV or AIDS. Their work is in the poor rural community of KwaZulu-Natal.
Alison Zikalala, an english school teacher from Ryton, originally went out to Africa on a year’s mission and ended up marrying Revd. Lindiari Zikalala. This partnership with Trinity has been set up through links with the Rowlands Gill Methodist Church, where Alison’s parents worship.
It is our mission to support the completion of a new church building and to financially support the after-school food scheme. Various fundraising activities have been initiated and completed by the fellowship of Trinity to help raise funds for this valuable work.
The newsletters which have been available in church are published here and available to be downloaded below.
