Ministry Team

Andrew Clark – Ministry Team Leader

Andrew is married to Tracy and dad to Benjamin and Ceitidh. He spent 9 years leading Salvation Army churches in Glasgow, Bristol, Wick and Aberdeen with Tracy and is now embarking on a new journey at Trinity. His formative spirituality is clearly Salvo, with a heart for the lost and a heart for the poor, but he is equally fired up by Celtic spirtuality and is in relationship with the Northumbria Community, a neo-monastic movement in the UK.

He a strategic thinker with an apostolic/evangelistic type ministry in the main. He is passionate about seeing the whole church informed and mobilised to flesh out Jesus in the reality of our post-Christendom United Kingdom.  His greatest joy is championing and empowering the ministry of others and he has a desire to see a viral organic church planting movement sweep through the UK.  Undergirding all this is his determination to know Jesus as Lord both in his own life and in the life of the church.

Apart from all that, he loves chilling to the music of Ludvico Einaudi, is partial to a good latte and is a self-confessed social networking addict. He has a love of VW campers and one of these days he wants to have one again!

Mary Bellshaw – Pastoral Team Leader

My ministry background is Salvation Army. I spent 25 years as an Officer (full time minister), largely in and around Glasgow before serving in England and Wales.  Through The Salvation Army I was able to work and minister within a wide variety of communities, meeting people’s human needs in a practical and spiritual way.  One of the most enjoyable opportunities was setting up The Red Shield work at Whittington Barracks near Lichfield.

Following retirement from active service in 2004, I moved to Newcastle. Having been drawn to the worshipping community here at Trinity Gosforth, I found space and time to discern what God had in store for me as part of His bigger plan.  After working in Marks and Spencer, the Lord opened a door of opportunity for me to serve as Church Community Worker at Trinity. Here I am able to use my experience and passion to see people come to a living relationship with Jesus and to serve people where they are at, in the name of Jesus.

Some of the early opportunities have pointed towards partnership working; becoming involved with other projects who are seeking to improve community life. It is my experience that it is equally important to establish links which have a corporate involvement whilst establishing and building on relationship with individuals.

About me, I enjoy music, reading and meeting with friends and ensuring that my two handsome sons don’t forget their old mum!

It is my prayer and hope that together we will live the love of Jesus in our community.
