Sunday Message – Road to Emmaus – 3rd Apr 2016

video unavailable Unfortunately there was a technical error with the recording of the sermon this week so it can’t be made available on YouTube.
Minister: Peter Holwell
Theme: Road to Emmaus
Scripture reference(s): Luke 24:13-35 New International Version (NIV) “On the Road to Emmaus”
Summary: Peter spoke about the fundamental misunderstanding that the disciples made about who Jesus was when they described him as a Prophet. They were expecting a Messiah to redeem Israel but Jesus had done so much more; conquering sin and death. Despite their journeying companion calling them foolish, they wanted to extend their time in this person’s presence. After their blindness was lifted at the breaking of bread and they at last undertook that they were with the Messiah Jesus, they couldn’t contain their excitement and ran back the 6/7 miles to Jerusalem to tell the others!
